I finally did it.... I broke down and decided that I needed to share my world with, well, the world! Blogs always looked intimidating to me. All the beautiful things on the internet, not to mention all the amazing bloggers that are changing the way creative people look at DIY, and here I am finally taking that leap of faith.
I guess it is only proper to introduce myself... I LOVE art. that's all you need to know. ok ok so I may have a bit more to me than that. I graduated from the Illinois Institute of art in Chicago with a BFA in fashion design and worked in the corporate world for a couple of years before I learned it wasn't right for me. I wasn't fond of working my butt off to execute someone else's idea of my ideas. I lost all creativity that I went into art school hoping to hold onto throughout my career and I knew when that happened something was wrong. Sometimes being creative just needs to be an outlet without any limitations. I am happily married to my high school sweetheart, Stephen, and we have a
daughter, Ella, who will be 2 in November. I get to spend my days with
her and we get to do all sorts of fun things.
My husband often says to me "You don't need another hobby". He's always wrong... of course I do :) I have always loved being creative. Just to name a few of the things I love doing: Sewing, quilting, painting (watercolor and acrylic), card making, jewelry making and cooking. These things are exactly what I am going to share with you all. I want to get you excited to try something new or even revisit an old project. I can't wait to share my world with you all! XOXO
